Well, I received a flyer from my dealer advertising a 3 hours Introduction to your sewing machine.  I've never attended, although I bought my Janome Threadbanger TB 30 late last summer.

Liberty of London Fabrics - an obsession

First, Happy Mother's Day!

About three weeks ago I developed an obsession over Liberty fabrics.  I bought the "Liberty" boots from Target for rainy days.



I also developed a Liberty Blog obsession:  I loved Gertie's Cecil Chapman Tribute Dress, re-read Eugenia's Liberty Wisdom and gazed in awe at her Shirt.   I fell in with deep admiration over Peter's Wonderful Shirt.

Kwik Sew 3115 Yoga Pants

Yes, I joined the multitude of others making the famed Kwik Sew 3115 pants, using my black Polartec 200 fabric (which had the necessary stretch needed using the test on the back of the pattern envelope).

A weekend of Knits

Well, I took the easy road and instead of the walk-away dress, now on hold - I completed two easy confidence building projects.  Which left me with some fun items and check, check, two projects done.  The first up, was Vogue 8634  -  made from a very golden Organic Bamboo Jersey Knit from Michael Levine in LA's fashion district.

Snow Dog

Although this is mostly a "look what I sewed" and "help, I'm stuck with a sewing project" blog - I also report activities with my doggies.  Yesterday, I had the chance to visit Sequoia/Kings Canyon on a return trip from Central California and ran into over 24 feet of snow.  Paddy loved it.  It's hard to believe it's sunny here on the coast and four hours away - it's still winter in the Sierra Nevada!

Walking away from the "Walkaway Dress"

Well, I'm about one day (or less) from "walking away" from the walkaway dress!

The dress I'm discussing is Butterick 4790 - a reproduction pattern.  This dress definitely failed the tissue fit.  And, I'm not considering a muslin (I need a quick sewing fix!).  And I don't think I can work it out.
