Happy New Year - Welcome 2010!

(Surfers' Point at Sunset)

I'm thrilled it's 2010  -  I'm ready for new things.  I start off this year Reserve-free as I retired (officially) at midnight last night - hurray!
(Walking the dogs New Years Eve 2009 Ventura Boardwalk)

I plan to fill the time writing stories, sewing, and (maybe) learning guitar.
We have a busy life with the Ps.  I can already tell (from my reduced workload in the Fall) that I can focus much better on the things that mean more to me!  I'm not setting any sewing goals - I merely want to continue to enjoy my sewing projects.  Eventually, I'd like to make all my clothes but I'm not that close right now.

Thanks to all for their blogging - I love to read them and become a part of your life.

Congratulations on your retirement! I'm looking forward to following your sewing fun this year.

I agree with you on not setting sewing goals. I am having so much fun sewing. I think if I set a lot of goals for the year, that would take away some of that fun. My sewing is much more spontaneous -- "Oh, that pattern would look great with that fabric" (thought in a really excited voice in my head) or vice versa. Sewing is MY time -- it is fun, allows me something I like, and in return becomes stress relief. Why would I want to set goals and make it something else?
Have fun!!
